Our 10th Annual Getaway includes: 5 nights hotel at the International in Killarney, all breakfasts (including day of arrival, where we'll stop at Mac's Pub at Bunratty Castle enroute to Killarney), three full dinners at our hotel, deluxe motorcoach sightseeing with admission to all included attractions, hotel taxes, baggage handling at the hotel and much more! One morning, an optional Jaunting Cart ride OR a Bicycle Tour will be offered through Killarney National Park, located directly across from your hotel, with the rest of the day free to do as you wish! Per your suggestions, two dinners will be on your own this year, so you can experience more of the area's culinary offerings as you like... The International Hotel is just steps from the pubs, shops and restaurants in downtown Killarney and offers old-world charm as well as modern ammenities and excellent food. A private breakfast buffet on the day of arrival, an exclusive with our getaways, will take place this year at Mac's Pub on the grounds of Bunratty Castle, just a short drive from Shannon airport and on our way to Killarney. After breakfast, we'll stop at Adare - a lovely village with thatched-roof cottages and colorful storefronts. The village was, in the past, awarded "Tidiest Town in Ireland" and still appears that way!
On this visit, we'll tour the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, Cork City and the village of Cobh (a departure point for many immigrants and the final port of call of the ill-fated Titanic) with its Heritage Center, Blarney Castle and Woolen Mills (admission to the Castle and Blarney Stone on your own if you so choose), the Gap of Dunloe and a few more surprises along the way!
Not included: Departure taxes, fuel supplements, other meals, travel insurance*, gratuity to driver/guide, items of a personal nature and the local coach to Boston (at cost - rate TBD). Currently, we are sold out of single spaces ($269 supplement). Deposit of $450pp is due immediately upon booking (nonrefundable), by check only, along with travel insurance protection premium (rate based on age and total trip cost - see chart below). Final payment may be by check (preferred) or credit card (MC, Visa or AX) and is due by July 1st. Travel insurance premium may also be paid by check OR credit card and is also nonrefundable. Why is the insurance mandatory? Even in the very unlikely event that you have medical insurance that will cover you in Ireland for accident/illness, etc, that insurance will NOT cover you should you have to cancel for such reasons prior to departure! Your medical insurance will also NOT cover you if you have to cancel due to a pre-existing condition of any kind (or such a situation with a traveling companion or immediate family member) OR if the Tour Operator (Sceptre Tours) or the Airline Carrier (Aer Lingus) defaults financially or fails to operate, causing the tour not to depart! We therefore will decline to accept any group passengers who for whatever reasons opt not to purchase such coverage...It is for YOUR protection as well as ours! Thanks for understanding...
