SEATS REMAINING: 24 Our 9th Annual Getaway includes: RT air from Boston (on nonstop flights aboard Aer Lingus) to Shannon, 5 nights hotel (4 in Galway at Jury's Inn, 1 in Ennis at the Temple Gate) all breakfasts (including day of arrival, where a stop at Temple Gate, Ennis will be made enroute to Galway), four full dinners at our hotels, deluxe motorcoach sightseeing with admission to all included attractions, hotel taxes, baggage handling at the hotels and much more! An optional tour to the Aran Islands will be made available during our "day at leisure" for those who desire to visit this wild outpost ($50pp). On this optional excursion, you'll travel from the Ferry Dock near Galway to Inishmore (the largest of the Aran Islands), take a van tour of this rugged and beautiful place and then have time for shopping (home of the famous "Aran Fisherman's" sweaters) and lunch before returning by ferry to Galway. Let us know when initially booking if you'd like to take advantage of this experience! Our last night in Ennis will hopefully coincide with the annual Trad Music Festival! We expect our hotel will once again be a venue for one or more of the musician's sessions... Jury's Inn Galway offers an excellent location, overlooking the Spanish Arch and literally a few steps from Quay Street and its pedestrian mall, with dozens of quaint shops, pubs, restaurants and lots of nightlife! Handicapped facilities are NOT available at this hotel. The Temple Gate is located directly downtown in Ennis, making it easy to walk to the shops, pubs, restaurants and local music venues. Please take note that handicapped-accessible rooms are NOT available at this hotel. A breakfast buffet on the day of arrival, an exclusive with our getaways, will take place this year at the Temple Gate in Ennis, just a short drive north from Shannon airport. Shannon to Ennis - 18 miles. Galway to Clifden - 46 miles. Clifden to Kylemore Abbey - 11 miles. Kylemore Abbey to Cong - 30 miles. Cong back to Galway via Lough Corrib - 25 miles. As you can see, the only trip of any length will be on Wednesday, November 5, when we make the loop from Galway to Clifden, Kylemore and Cong on back to Galway - a total of about 112 miles - on our "do what you like" day! Why is the insurance mandatory? Even in the very unlikely event that you have medical insurance that will cover you in Ireland for accident/illness, etc, that insurance will NOT cover you should you have to cancel for such reasons prior to departure! Your medical insurance will also NOT cover you if you have to cancel due to a pre-existing condition of any kind (or such a situation with a traveling companion or immediate family member) OR if the Tour Operator (Sceptre Tours) or the Airline Carrier (Aer Lingus) defaults financially or fails to operate, causing the tour not to depart!
