D&D Travel's LEGOLAND Florida & Cypress Gardens...30 HQ images from a recent visit. Please allow ample time to download - and enjoy!      - Donna and Dennis       [HOME]

LEGOLAND Florida, in Winter Haven, lies between Orlando and Tampa. It is a great place to visit with children around age 8 and under...and for those of any age who are "into" LEGOS! The theme park offers many rides and attractions for the younger set, including fascinating recreations of easily-recognizable places in the US in their "Miniland"display - all constructed with LEGOS and in miniature! The famed Cypress Gardens - for many years a popular central Florida attraction - has been partially restored and those areas are exactly as they were in the '60s and '70s! Anyone who revisits this place will remember the gardens, though sightseeing boats no longer ply the waters of the canal system...The gardens brought back memories of our honeymoon visit almost 40 years ago! All in all, LEGOLAND is a fun place to visit!

The next 15 images: See how many you can recognize in LEGOLAND's "Miniland" recreations, all in fine detail!

Mysterious Cypress "knees" - projections the trees send above the water level, most often in swamps. Their exact function is still unknown!

The famous Banyan Tree, was planted in just a 5-gallon pail in 1939!
