This time around, Kim from East Granby, CT  participated as a single traveler in a Globus Journeys "South America with Peru" tour recently and has graciously allowed us to post the following glorious images she took during her adventure. Her journey was arranged by D&D Travel...Thanks so much Kim!!!

An example of the dazzling costumes worn during Carnival in Brazil (held 40 days before Easter)

A colorful Parrot on guard...

The wondrous Iguazu Falls, taller than Niagra, on the border of Argentina and Brazil...

Mist creates a rainbow at Iguazu falls...A not-to-miss sight on any tour to South America!

Above and below: Machu Picchu - (meaning "Old Mountain") - located above the Urubamba River valley in Peru, about 50 miles northwest of Cusco. It was built by the Incas as an estate about 1400AD and is sometimes referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas."

Machu Picchu's three primary buildings are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun, and the Room of the Three Windows. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was named one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World" in an Internet poll...Indeed, it is another not-to-miss sight on any tour to this part of the world...Thanks again, Kim!!!
